Amchamps: Lecture and Panel on Fights against Corruption

The second open lecture was held with the aim of promoting Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations

After last week's multidisciplinary lecture on the topic of sustainable development and ecology, another open lecture organized by AmChamps participants supported the promotion of UN Sustainable Development Goals. The lecture on the topic of fighr against corruption was held at the Faculty of Law in Belgrade.

The program was open by AmChampser Miloš Milosavljević, the moderator of the program. Another AmChampser and also the Law University student, Vladimir Božić, wished welcome to all guests. First part of the lecture began with the presentation of Dr Lola Stamenković, a member of the Global Compact board in Serbia, who spoke about the goals and ideas of the Global Compact, but also emphasized the role of Serbia in the fight against corruption. Next presentation was held by Andrea Nikolić, both AmChampser and Law University student. Andrea explained the importance of anti-corruption and its impact on business and the economy in general.

The second part of the program had a structure of panel discussion, with the following participants: Jelisaveta Vasilić, member of the Anti-corruption Council, Marko Petrović, Compliance Officer at Siemens in Serbia, Miroslav Miletić, Vice President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, and Vladimir Radomirović from web-portal “Pištaljka". In open communication with the moderator and the audience, panelists offered many different answers to numerous questions about the specific methods of their organizations’ fight against corruption, the most effective tools in this battle, etc. The guests were also interested in the ways in which young people can get involved in the fight against corruption.
