KPMG Donates 16 Laptops to Petar Kočić School in Zemun

Ivana Manigodić, a Partner at KPMG Belgrade, delivered the donation to the school on behalf of the company, and Mladen Šarčević, Minister of Education, who attended the donation ceremony, pointed out that the role of the ministry is the improvement conditions for education.

This donation is the start of the project “100 Computers for 100 Schools” initiated by the Rotary Club Serbia, based on an agreement with the Ministry of Education and with the aim to equip schools with computers, laptops, tablets and networking equipment and to provide a technological basis for the introduction of IT as a compulsory course in the fifth grade.

Petar Kočić Elementary School is one of the oldest schools in Serbia. The school was founded 134 years ago and is one of the few schools with a complete program of elementary education from compulsory preparatory pre-school to eight-year elementary education.
