Photo Exhibition: “Solidarity in a Time of Crisis”

The Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation has organized a photo exhibition: “Solidarity in a Time of crisis” during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of its work and as part of the project: “We celebrate solidarity,” initiated by the Foundation.

Solidarity and understanding among people are among the most important values that characterize our society, especially in conditions of natural disasters or wars. Recognizing the importance of humanity and solidarity, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation organized this exhibition to inspire the visitors’ belief that good works can change the world. The exhibition was organized in partnership with news agency Tanjug, which provided photos taken during two major crises –the floods in 2014 and in the migrant crisis escalated in Serbia during the summer of 2015, and is supported by the European Union and the Europa for Citizens program. These photos show people connected in times of crisis, helping and worrying about each other.

The exhibition will travel throughout Serbia in cooperation with local cultural centers, utilizing open spaces in order to be accessible to as many people as possible. The exhibition will visit the following cities – Šid, (beginning on June 12th), Sombor, Kikinda, Lajkovac, Valjevo, Novi Pazar, Leskovac. During the upcoming period exhibitions are expected in Kragujevac, Zaječar and Belgrade (finishing on September 29 at Dorćol Platz).

Included in the project are videos depicting solidarity involving citizens of Serbia and migrants who were interviewed during the crises.
