Most important recommendation of AmCham Trade Facilitation Committee finally accomplished, through the formal establishment of National Trade Facilitation Coordination Body.
After numerous consultations AmCham had with all relevant stakeholders, National Trade Facilitation Coordination Body has finally been established by the Government, on the meeting held on November 2.
This inter-ministerial body will serve as a platform for public-private dialogue on facilitating foreign trade through the removal of identified non-trade barriers. The body will include appointed representatives of relevant inspections and their deputies. Participation of the private sector will be ensured through the working groups, as in the case of the Coordination Commission for Inspections Oversight.
