This year, Delta will employ in its companies a total of thirty-eight young, educated people who have been selected from among more than a thousand candidates in several rounds of selection in an organized public competition.
Throughout the year with the help of more experienced colleagues who will be their mentors, the Young Leaders will get to know the different parts of Delta's system and gain their first experience in business.
"With great enthusiasm, we have been implementing this program for seven years, because we believe in young people and we are pleased to offer them a chance to prove themselves. Experience has shown us that these young, smart people, although without working experience, quickly fit into the system and give new energy, ideas, creativity and business input. Former participants of this program are running our factories, companies, sectors, construction sites," said Marija Desivojević Cvetković, Senior Vice President for Strategy and Development and the sponsor of the "Young Leaders" program.
More than 150 students have been part of this program so far and many of them perform important managerial roles in the company.
