.A roundtable on the implementation of the Law on Lobbying was organized on October 24 2019, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Agency and with the support of the OSCE Mission to Serbia and the US Department of Justice’s OPDAT Program.

Dragan Sikimić, Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, addressed the roundtable participants, pointing out the importance both that lobbying is regulated and that the Agency is prepared to provide answers to any dilemmas and doubts about implementation of the law.

The panelists were Verka Atanasković and Jovan Božović, Acting Directors of the Anti-Corruption Agency, and Dr. Tilman Hoppe, expert on lobbying at the OSCE. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Dusko Krsmanovic from “Flagship” LLC.

Representatives of AmCham member companies heard about the best comparative practices in this area and asked questions about the implementation of the Law on Lobbying, particularly about the similarities and differences between the rights and obligations of registered and unregistered lobbyists, a tighter definition of lobbied persons and the distinction between activities that are considered to be lobbying those that are not.

Representatives of the Anti-Corruption Agency also provided basic information about the implementation of the planned Lobbyists Training Program.
