The Committee contributes to improvements in healthcare legislation, takes part in the healthcare reform both through improving the transparency and efficiency of regulatory processes and cutting the red tape. Its initiatives are oriented towards enhancing market access under fair and competitive grounds and harmonization of Serbian legislation with EU acquis through suitable transposition of EU rules and best practices.

Speeding up administrative procedures for medicines and securing sustainable funding, in order to reduce the gap with EU countries.
Enabling the submission of documentation and issuing administrative acts in electronic form for medicines and medical devices, full digital communication with ALIMS and completion of procedures within the legal deadlines.
Reduction of fees for which the appropriate service is not provided (e.g. for vigilance) and elimination of administrative requirements that licensees cannot meet because they do not possess the required data.
More efficient administration of clinical trials, by removing bottlenecks and expanding capacity, leading to an increase in public health sector revenue.
Possibility of opting for the “chosen doctor” in private practice, participation of private health care providers in the immunization process, concluding contracts with RHIF to provide a wider range of services, etc.
Electronic registration, digital communication, telemedicine, establishment of patient register, monitoring of treatment outcomes, etc. Providing modern channels for the sale of medicines and medical devices (Internet pharmacies).
Optimization of public procurement, monitoring of stocks, regular maintenance of medical equipment and application of the criteria of the most economically advantageous offer (MEAT).
