Distribution, logistics and negotiation skills
The latest set of AmChamps 009 activities involved a traditional event designed to allow the participants to gain first-hand experience with corporate operations. This year, the attendees visited Nelt Group, a major logistics, distribution, and trade marketing firm. The participants were able to learn about the company’s activities and staff, and visit a facility to understand how goods were stored.
A brief overview of the company and its values was presented by Darko Lukić, Nelt’s Executive Vice-President.
Sales Manager Bojan Bulatović spoke about the company’s distribution business, including the importance of distribution and supply chain arrangements for large retailers. Nenad Diković, Logistics Sales and Development Manager, explained warehousing, transport, and operational activities, highlighting the features of a well-organized logistics department for a large company.
Tina Marković, Senior Key Account Manager, facilitated a negotiation skills workshop. The participants were able to learn more about the process of negotiating and different types of negotiators and their negotiating styles, whilst also honing their own negotiating skills with practical advice. A mock negotiation case study helped the mentees apply their knowledge and allowed the mentors to make suggestions and positive feedback.
Lastly, Bojana Mucić, Executive HR Director, answered participants’ questions in an informal setting, gave advice about successful career development, and explained the day-to-day duties of the firm’s human resources department.
The last core activity of AmChamps 009, a team building visit to Kopaonik, is planned for early June.
