First steps for students and managers attending this year’s AMCHAMPS program
The ninth season of AMCHAMPS is off to a running start, with participants attending Mentoring, Introduction to Coaching, and On Track for Work events. The three workshops were designed to help the student and manager pairs learn the skills needed to successfully navigate all the challenges of the program.
The Mentoring workshop presented the importance of mentoring in today’s business and the significance of mentor-mentee teamwork. The event was led by Snežana Isaković, Senior HR Consultant & Trainer at GI Group and Boris Bočvarski, HR Learning and Development Manager at Generali.
The following activity, Introduction to Coaching, was aimed at managers and designed as a group coaching session. It outlined the concept of coaching and served as the introduction to individual coaching sessions that will be offered to all managers. Jelena Kralj, lecturer and long-standing AmChamps coaching partner, spoke about the benefits of this self-improvement method and shared her wealth of experience in this area.
At the same time the students took part in On Track for Work, an event devoted to the first steps in seeking a job, where they learned about why a well-written CV matters and why networking and building one’s own brand are important for presenting personal achievements to future employers. The workshop was led by Milena Manojlović, Head of Recruitment and Selection at Wyser, a part of GI Group.
