Commitment to sustainability through measurable results
Coca Cola HBC Serbia a.d. and Bambi have presented their 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting a year marked by stability, agility, and strategic partnerships—factors that contributed to the continued, sustainable growth of both companies and reinforced their commitment to creating a positive impact on the community and the environment.
This is the 12th sustainability report published by Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and the fifth since Bambi became part of the Coca-Cola HBC system. The 2024 report reflects continued progress in sustainability, with measurable outcomes: Coca-Cola HBC Serbia reduced its CO₂ emissions by 76.2% in Scope 1 and Scope 2 compared to the baseline year of 2017.
Between 2007 and 2024, Coca-Cola HBC Serbia also reduced water consumption per liter of produced beverage by 55%, while Bambi achieved a 26.64% reduction in water consumption compared to 2023. The Coca-Cola HBC Serbia bottling plant in Belgrade achieved “Zero Waste” status, with 100% of waste either recycled or otherwise reused, while Bambi reached a 99.7% waste recovery rate.
“In addition to the strong results we achieve in production and on the market, transparency in reporting across all areas of our business is a hallmark of how we operate. The results reflecting our progress toward achieving net zero emissions—our Coca-Cola HBC Group commitment for 2040—speak to our dedication to stable and sustainable growth. In 2024, we launched a new SmartCan production line and began building a state-of-the-art warehouse facility. With equal focus, we continue to invest in our communities and the development of our people, because these results are the product of the progress and joint efforts of our employees, partners, customers, and suppliers,” said Saša Marković, General Manager of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia.
The report also highlights a strong focus on local procurement: 83% of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia’s procurement budget was spent on local suppliers, while Bambi sourced 77.56% of its supplies locally.
