The scheme leverages affordable loans and government subsidies in support of energy efficiency improvements for households
NLB Komercijalna Banka has launched green loans in a bid to help households boost their energy efficiency. As part of the Scaling-Up Residential Clean Energy program, the Ministry of Mining and Energy has been offering subsidies of up to 90% for energy efficiency improvements such as thermal insulation, rooftop solar photovoltaics, and new windows and doors. The remaining financing needs are met by NLB Komercijalna Banka through affordable loans with a fixed interest rate of 7.95% with no mandatory down payment or processing fees. The improvements may help households achieve energy savings and reduce their carbon emissions by up to 30%. The project is active in 137 local authority areas, with concessionary financing available for vulnerable households.
