Get Involved! ManpowerGroup launches Business Inclusion project
By AmChamPublished On 06/10/2020
The initiative, which commenced on 28 September, will support persons with disabilities, young people without parental care, and individuals aged 50 and above, with particular emphasis on those who have been made redundant.
Offering a free assessment scheme that focuses on strengths and potentials, and workshops aimed at skills development, the project promotes equality in hiring and helps its beneficiaries become more employable.
Apart from making it easier for the unemployed to find work, the project will also target employers by raising their awareness of opportunities for hiring hard-to-employ groups. The initiative systematically connects the relevant stakeholders so as to ensure its beneficiaries can receive comprehensive support, from assessment and training to contacts with potential employers.
‘ManpowerGroup is the only business in this industry recognised as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute. We have been working with Assert International to raise awareness of the opportunities for hiring hard-to-employ persons in the local business community. Whilst respecting diversity and caring for people and the role played by work in their lives, by pursuing this project we wish to align the competencies of hard-to-employ groups with the needs of the labour market and so make it more likely they will find long-term jobs’, said Aleksandar Hangimana, Managing Partner South East Europe at ManpowerGroup.
