Workshop takes place in partnership with Atria Group
AmCham’s offices were the venue for the GameChangers workshop, a change management business simulation designed by the AmCham HR Forum and Atria Group.
An interactive roleplaying session allowed the participants to practice making tough strategy decisions and enhance key stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and strategic change management skills. The simulation relied on well-established theories of leadership change, negotiations, conflict resolution, and influence styles, including the Thomas-Killman model and the work of G. Richard Shell, John Kotter, and Stephen Bungay. GameChangers was built around a case study where the participants acted as managers tasked with designing a new strategy, observing formal mandates, and discovering informal networks and relationships of trust and using action cards to make decisions as to which stakeholders to involve in this strategizing and when to do so.
The participants demonstrated significant leadership potential and gained skills they will find helpful when developing and applying strategies in real-life situations.
