Moreover, it is for this very reason that the first registered investment transaction in Serbia during the pandemic, was in the segment of logistic centers.
One of the leading real estate consultants, CBS International, part of the Cushman & Wakefield Group, brokered this very important acquisition, which puts Serbia on the map of key international investors in capital markets, with highly alluring yields, not just in the logistics market, but also in office and retail markets.
Namely, one of the leading real estate investors in Serbia, the company BIG CEE acquired logistics and distribution complex, which is the headquarters of Kuehne Nagel in Serbia, the global leader in logistics, which has been operating in Serbia since 2002. Strong market positioning of the company Kuehne Nagel lies in sea logistics, air logistics, road logistics, with a clear focus on high value-added segments such as IT-based integrated logistics solutions. Within the Serbian headquarters complex, there is also a shared services center of the company for this part of the world.
The logistics complex spreads over 17,000 sq m, being in long-term lease, located in the industrial zone of Belgrade, at the border of Dobanovci i Ugrinovci areas, on the land lot hosting the complex which grew with the company’s business activities from 2007 onwards, while still allowing for further expansion of the facilities, which the new owner will support with future investments.
