This year's Kopaonik Business Forum began with a humanitarian ski race organized by Mastercard and the National Association of Parents of Children with Cancer (NURDOR) to raise money for the construction of the largest NURDOR parental home to date. The race was attended by partners and representatives of the financial sector, as well as all those who wanted to contribute. Mastercard allocated a sum of money for each participant, donating a total of 5,000 euros to NURDOR.
“The core of our business is to provide an invaluable customer experience, as well as to encourage people to make changes that will benefit their community. We want to inspire people to contribute to a major goal of national importance, and Kopaonik Business Forum is a unique opportunity to show the business community the importance to the nation of building a new parental home and involve them in something invaluable,” said Jelena Ristic, Mastercard’s Director for Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ristic added, “The conclusion of public-private partnerships is one way in which we can improve our business and the environmental conditions in which we live and work. The transformation of our business is reflected in our premise that we are doing good work by doing good deeds, and that is precisely what the fight for the NURDOR home for parents and brave superheroes is.”
The race was supported by many competitors, including representatives of AmCham member companies VIP Mobile and Erste Bank. Well-known commentator Aleksandar Stojanovic and Serbian Paralympian Nemanja Tadic contributed to a great atmosphere on the racetrack.
