Companies continue their regional Family Support initiative
Building on the success of their assistance to maternity wards throughout the Adriatic region in 2022, MK Group and AIK Bank are pressing ahead with their grants program to improve creches and nursery schools in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Montenegro.
In Serbia, funds have been set aside to help preschools in Vrbas, Bečej, Kovačica, Pećinci, Novi Sad, Raška, Golubac, and Niš. The donation was discussed in a meeting with the Serbian Prime Minister, Ana Brnabić, who thanked the two companies for their contribution to Serbia’s economy, adding how pleased she was that the Serbian Government would partner with the firms for this important initiative. The event was also attended by Minister of Education Branko Ružić, who also expressed his gratitude for the efforts to help improve conditions in nursery schools.
’I’m proud to be able to say, on behalf of MK Group, that this is the seventh consecutive year we have been working with AIK Bank to deliver Family Support, our corporate social responsibility initiative. This year’s donations have been earmarked for improving conditions in nursery schools throughout Serbia and the region. Gifts to benefit the youngest generation are the best way to usher in celebrations of our fortieth anniversary. In 2023 alone we plan to spend over one million euros on a variety of activities aimed at children, because by investing in them we celebrate the future’, said Mihailo Janković, CEO of MK Group.
