As part of their regional programme Helping Families, MK Group and AIK Bank donate funds to Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital at Dr Dragiša Mišović Clinical Hospital Centre
The money will be used to purchase a state-of-the-art laparoscopic column, to be used specifically in treating infertility. Helping Families, the traditional staff programme implemented jointly by MK Group and AIK Banka, was broadened last year to include donations to maternity hospitals.
‘This is by no means the first time we’ve received such a generous donation from MK Group and AIK Banka. As recently as two years ago they donated sorely needed medical supplies worth 20,000 euros. However, this is the most important donation for us to date, as the laparoscopic column will help us improve surgical treatment for more than 1,000 women annually at our hospital’, said Dr Slađana Mihajlović, head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Hospital at the Dr Dragiša Mišović Clinical Hospital Centre.
‘Helping Families, our regional programme, has donated over 700,000 euros to maternity hospitals in Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Some 16,000 babies are born every year at the seven institutions we’ve assisted. Our company is not only helping to improve conditions at our maternity hospitals, but also providing a major impetus to family policy’, said Aleksandra Stojanović, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at MK Group.
