The SBB Foundation has donated computer equipment to Užice Women’s Centre which will help the charity continue its important work to safeguard the human rights of women.
‘This donation comes as a pleasant surprise and a fitting end to a year full of recognition, as well as one that saw us move to new offices for the first time in 11 years. We’re used to working hard in support of women. We have to keep up with trends in technology and telecommunications, because these allow us to always be there for one another in these challenging times’, said Radmila Gujaničić, Chairwoman of the Governing Board of Užice Women’s Centre.
For the past ten years, the SBB Foundation has been marking the holiday season by making financial grants to a variety of institutions and organisations. This year, apart from its support for Užice Women’s Centre, the Foundation made a 10,000 euro donation to assist BELhospice and the Evo Ruka association.
‘I believe the magnificent team of 14 wonderful women from Užice will use the new computers in these new offices to give even more support to women in our city and the entire community of Užice. We are happy to have helped them in their work for a better tomorrow, not just as a telecommunications company, but also given our role as a major pillar of the local community for the past two decades’, said Sanja Panić, SBB Sales Agent for Užice.
