AmCham hosted an online briefing titled “Navigating Uncertainty around U.S. Reciprocal Tariffs,” gathering members of the business community interested in current shifts in international trade. Guest speakers Chanter Jago and Iain Sandford, partners at Foley Hoag LLP and leading experts in international trade law, shared their insights on the topic. AmCham Vice President Amalija Pavić presented the Chamber’s past and upcoming steps regarding tariffs and encouraged companies to reach out to AmCham with any questions or concerns.
During the session, Sandford provided an overview of the new tariffs introduced by the U.S., explaining how they are implemented and what potential consequences they might have for Serbian exporters and businesses involved in transatlantic trade. Participants also received recommendations on how to adapt, including adjustments to contractual arrangements and available legal remedies.
The discussion expanded to cover the bigger picture—government responses, potential EU reactions, and political developments in the U.S. that could further influence global trade dynamics.
