Palace of Science was venue for AmChamps Program Module 2
Participants in the AmChamps program visited the newly opened Palace of Science, where they were greeted by its Manager, Nemanja Đorđević, who shared the history of the building that houses the Miodrag Kostić Endowment, emphasizing the institution’s importance in popularizing science in Serbia. In addition to the permanent museum exhibits available to visitors, the Palace of Science also houses 20 scientific centers that promote innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists.
Nikola Perić, Director of Product Development and Management at SBB, delivered a lecture on the digital transformation of business processes. Using Netflix as an example, Nikola highlighted the significance of digital transformation and its impact on businesses in rapidly evolving sectors, such as telecommunications.
Alongside a tour of permanent exhibits on humanity, planet Earth, and technology, the participants had the opportunity to visit two scientific centers at the Palace of Science. Professor Dr. Miloš Cvetanović guided the visitors through the Center for Applied Artificial Intelligence, where he presented AI models in development and the potential applications of AI in processing legal documents.
Professor Dr. Kosta Jovanović took the participants on a tour of the Center for Robotics, where he introduced them to three robots housed there. These robots are designed and programmed to work with people, and one of them is equipped with a unit that enables it to move.
Aleksandar Vratonjić Gligorijević of Telegroup held a presentation on AI and effective prompting. He introduced the students and mentors to several commonly used AI tools, such as ChatGPT and Midjourney. Aleksandar worked with the participants to create visual content and discussed common mistakes and misconceptions when using AI, such as not verifying information sources.
