Erste Banka publishes ‘The Bank is the People’, its 13th Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report

‘The situation we all found ourselves in last year has posed many challenges, but has also motivated us to find ways to adapt and do all that we’d planned and more, in support of our staff, clients, and the broader community. We’re proud of having continued to invest in our employees by delivering 16,000 hours of training, of having used our own advertising budget to instead produce advertisements for our clients and promote them free of charge on television and our social media accounts, and of having invested close to 16.3 million dinars in culture, the arts, and science’, said Sonja Konakov Svirčev, Senior Expert for Corporate Social Responsibility at Erste Banka.

A pillar of Erste Banka’s CSR has been its insistence on being climate neutral wherever possible and introducing innovative solutions to advance environmental sustainability. Last year, the bank invested nearly 100 million dinars in managing environmental issues, and green energy accounted for almost 70 percent of its total consumption.
