Galenika has once again made a cash donation to the National Cancer Research Centre (NCRC), as well as organising an awareness raising campaign in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s grant amounted to the dinar equivalent of 13,000 euros, aimed at helping the Centre and improving treatment options for patients from across Serbia.
‘The donation is the result of the company’s dedication to people and health care. Our purpose is reflected in quality assurance, and that means the highest standards in production, care for employees and consumers, but also for society as a whole. We are grateful to everyone who supported the action, because together we contribute to raising awareness of the importance of prevention and regular examinations, as well as improving the conditions for diagnosis and treatment of oncology patients’, said Ricardo Vian Marques, General Manager of Galenika.
‘This financial assistance will help us buy cutting-edge medical equipment we will use not only to treat breast cancer patients but in all cancer operations. We are very grateful to Galenika for helping us in our long-term mission and being a positive example of solidarity. We dedicate every day to fighting breast cancer and it is important for people to be aware of that. If found in time, cancer is completely curable’, said Dr Srđan Nikolić, Head of the NCRC’s Cancer Surgery Clinic, accepting the donation.
