A panel on the legal conditions of employing foreigners brought together experts from the fields of human resources management and legal departments of AmCham member companies
The panel was moderated by the Ivana Pejak Chairperson of the HR Forum & Human Resources Director at Medigroup. The panelists included Ivan Vučićević, Sales Director at Adecco; Danijel Okilj, Regional Manager for Foreign Employment at Adecco; Jelena Lukić, Human Resources Director at Belgrade Airport; and Nina Maslać, Human Resources Director at Crowne Plaza Hotel.
Participants exchanged insights into the process of preparing for the arrival of foreign workers, focusing on legal obligations and related regulations. Panelists presented concrete experiences from practice, emphasizing situations that require special attention, such as visas, work permits, and other administrative procedures. Additionally, the significance of education and inclusion for foreign workers was highlighted, with a discussion on measures necessary to facilitate their work and cultural integration into the country’s work and customary environment.
Throughout the event, the emphasis was placed on the vital importance of continuous analysis of challenges arising from the employment of foreigners, with the ultimate goal of improving practices and aligning them with current legal norms.
