The bank has imposed strict restrictions on itself in connection with the “exit from coal”. The Management Board recently adopted a guideline according to which the RBI Group's carbon finance portfolio, i.e. the sum of loans relating to thermal coal and thermal coal trading, will be significantly reduced. The strategic orientation’s objective is to expand credit exposure primarily in the area of wind and solar technologies.
As a member of the RBI Group, Raiffeisen banka in Serbia is committed to the process of achieving a healthier environment and maintaining sustainable development. “In the following period, we will dedicate our focus to the issue of responsible financing, with special stress on the assessment of the impact of credit clients’ activities onto the environment, with the aim of supporting long-term sustainable activities and projects in our country,” stated Zoran Petrović, Chairman of the Managing Board of Raiffeisen banka, on this occasion.
