Record-breaking run showcases togetherness, sustainability and inclusion
On 26 September, Belgrade’s Ada Ciganlija waterside park was the venue for the fourth Serbia Business Run, which broke all previous records by bringing together no fewer than 9,278 runners from 444 companies.
“Serbia Business Run has become much more than just a race. This year, we showed inclusion can go hand in hand with sustainability. I was especially happy to see the Walking Wave make an appearance, because it allowed everyone to take part, from walkers to wheelchair users to assisted participants. The record numbers show we can make huge changes come true when we join together”, said Miloš Vuksanović, Schneider Electric General Manager for Serbia and Montenegro.
Schneider Electric, recognized as one of the global leaders in sustainable practices, actively participates in local initiatives to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This year, over 30,000 aluminum cans were recycled at the race, and the solar panels from Schneider Electric contributed to a savings of 200 kW of electricity. There was no use of single-use plastics at the event, marking another step toward a sustainable future.
