Inspiration and solidarity: keys to success
Over the past ten years, AmChamps has succeeded in responding to the need for growing young talents and helping them develop skills needed in today’s business environment. To date, a total of 478 entrants have taken part in the program, of which 239 managers from 138 companies and 239 students from 32 faculties in four cities (Belgrade, Niš, Kragujevac, and Novi Sad).
Stefan Lazarević, AmCham President, said that the decade of AmChamps was not just a number, but rather stood for years of hard work, dedication, and building bridges between young talents and the business community. Each participant, he said, contributed not only to developing the program but also to creating something that went beyond professional development – inspiration, solidarity, and willingness to support young people as they followed their path.
Milica Pražić and Tina Kostić, the program’s managers, handed out special awards to outstanding associates, sources of inspiration, supporters, co-creators, envoys, and alumni of the initiative:
AmChamps’ partners for the event were A1 and Philip Morris Services.
Starting in January 2025, the program will launch a new cycle focusing on advanced technology that will additionally enrich the participants’ experience.
About AmChamps
AmChamps follows a unique concept in that it brings together participants from a variety of sectors and industries, who all have different sets of experience and educational backgrounds, including both in the humanities and sciences, and come from different generations. The program matches CEOs as lecturers, young managers as mentors, and students as mentees, giving all an opportunity to learn from one another.
The initiative provides a major boost to the students’ professional development, as most of those who complete the program find work with AmCham member companies. Many mentors have hired their mentees to work in their firms. These success stories show how AmChamps builds lasting connections between young talents and seasoned leaders. Three young AmChamps manager alumni are today themselves CEOs of large companies.
