DHL is expanding its operations
At Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport, there are plans for the construction of a new distribution center for air shipments by the German company DHL. The center will be built on a plot of land measuring 21,424 m2, currently owned by Jat Tehnika, a part of the Avia Prime group.
According to the urban planning project, the facility will include a reception, sorting, and delivery hall for shipments, administrative offices, as well as a technical block housing a substation and diesel generator. The total area of the facility will be 10,176.12 m2, with provisions made for 120 parking spaces.
Construction will proceed in phases, with an anticipated workforce of 302 employees operating in three shifts by the year 2040. The project is being designed by Energoprojekt – urban planning and architecture, with the public presentation of the urban planning project scheduled to continue until May 31st.
