How responsible AI application shapes business and regulatory challenges
At a seminar dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence, data privacy and protection consultant Nevena Ružić and attorney Jelena Adamović presented key regulatory aspects of AI use in connection with the Serbian Personal Data Protection Law and the upcoming Artificial Intelligence Law.
The speakers highlighted the challenges of aligning Serbian rules with European regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the forthcoming AI Act, which are expected to influence domestic legislation. They emphasized the importance of striking a balance between fostering innovation and protecting individual rights, whether in business environments, such as B2B and B2C interactions, or other areas of AI application.
During the hands-on segment of the event, the participants had the opportunity to explore AI solutions in business settings and identify potential risks to the privacy of employees, business partners, and customers.
The seminar spurred a discussion on the steps necessary to strengthen legal certainty and ensure the responsible use of artificial intelligence in business.
