AmCham Serbia hosted annual Thanksgiving Dinner in the elegant Astor Ballroom of the newly opened St. Regis Hotel. The dinner welcomed CEOs and GMs representing AmCham member companies, alongside officials and guests from the broader business, Serbian Government and NGO sector.
AmCham President Stefan Lazarević drew a unique parallel between Nikola Tesla, the renowned Serbian scientist, and the innovative legacy of the St. Regis brand, underscoring their symbolic connection to U.S.-Serbia relations. U.S. Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Christopher R. Hill, emphasized Thanksgiving traditions and the values of gratitude, collaboration, and reflection. As the Guest of Honor, Ambassador Hill had the privilege of carving the first pieces of turkey.
The evening featured a traditional Thanksgiving menu with dishes like butternut squash soup, turkey ballotine with cranberry sauce, and pecan cinnamon pie. The event also showcased Etno Mreža, promoting Serbian crafts through live demonstrations, while children in the Kids’ Corner created their own simple handmade items inspired by traditional techniques.
