As part of the AmChamps 2.1 program, a module dedicated to sustainable business was held, covering key aspects of ESG practices in today’s corporate environment through a series of lectures and workshops.
The event was hosted by NLB Komercijalna banka, where participants had the opportunity to hear from Nikola Vasilj, Sustainability Associate at NLB Komercijalna banka, who shared how the institution integrates sustainability into its business processes.
Nina Elezović from Coca-Cola HBC presented the perspective of large systems, emphasizing sustainability as a vital business imperative, with a particular focus on the company’s efforts in packaging recycling and advancing the circular economy.
The program continued with Ana Vulović from the AmCham team, who spoke about AmCham’s ESG initiatives and presented the results of the study “Insights into ESG and Sustainability Policies and Activities of Companies.”
Teodora Kovačević from IKEA addressed the topic of social responsibility within the ESG framework. She discussed IKEA’s sustainable business practices in Serbia and the company’s approach to community donations.
The practical part of the module included a case study workshop led by Filip Branović from Jaggaer, and the day concluded with a lecture by Jovan Paunović, founder of the company Treesury, on sustainability as an essential part of corporate culture.
Once again, this module highlighted that sustainable business is not just a trend, but a strategic direction for companies aiming to build long-term resilience and value.
