Professor Leslie T. Szamosi, Director of the Pan-European MBA Program gave a lecture aimed at HR
professionals, CEOs, and communication experts. The lecture provided valuable insights into contemporary trends and challenges in human resource management, offering attendees practical information on how to improve their
organizations.
Professor Szamosi highlighted that research indicates Millennials prioritize personal development and challenging work over salary, Generation Z operates best when multitasking and having autonomy, while Generation Alpha is heavily reliant on technology and can become “silent” when disconnected.
It was emphasized that Generation Z, characterized by its entrepreneurial spirit, optimism, and energy, is crucial for organizational restructuring. As they believe they can make a difference and are willing to challenge inefficient systems, every new solution brings new challenges. While engaging Generation Z has helped reduce employee turnover, it has also introduced new issues, including dissatisfaction among older generations within organizations.
The lecture also covered the benefits of flexible and hybrid work, the need for transparent communication, and the importance of adapting work environments to meet diverse generational needs. Avoiding biases and stereotypes is crucial for creating inclusive and adaptable workplaces.
