Telenor launches new round of its Telenor With Speed to the Stars contest

Telenor officially opened the eighth annual round of its Telenor Race to the Stars contest, organised together with the Serbian Athletics Federation. The competition seeks to promote sports and healthy lifestyles amongst third- and fourth-graders.
‘Sports help children become physically fitter and mentally more resilient, learn about fair play, and enhance their self-esteem, all whilst engaging in fun games. The aim here is not to win, but to make friends and build healthy living habits’, said Marija Vujanić, Director of Communications and Sustainable Development at Telenor.
A record number of participants have applied for this year’s competition, with children from 62 communities throughout Serbia seeking to gain the coveted title of fastest boy or girl. The initial stage entails preliminary testing at primary schools, followed by local qualifying 30-40 metre open-air races, after which the eight first-ranked boys and girls will proceed to the last round, the Telenor Super Finals. Race to the Stars will hold its Belgrade local finals in mid-March 2022 at the Štark Arena, and the Telenor Race to the Stars Super Finals will take place in the Serbian capital in June of 2022.
