Women Who Break Boundaries: Authentic Stories of Courage, Choices, and New Beginnings

AmCham hosted an inspiring event titled “Women Who Break Boundaries”, dedicated to authentic stories of women who have reshaped the rules of business and society through their actions.
In an informal conversation moderated by Ana Drašković, Vice President and General Manager for Southeast Europe at Visa, participants had the opportunity to hear personal experiences about risk-taking, failures, choices, and new beginnings from women who have built alternative paths to success.
Stories were shared by Marija Desivojević Cvetković (Delta Holding), Neda Lazendić (WV-International/Hyundai Engineering), Sandra Lazarević (Banca Intesa), Ana Čalija (floral designer and concept store founder), and Marija Tarlać (fashion brand founder), all emphasizing the importance of mutual support, diversity, and equal opportunities in the workplace.
Through open and honest dialogue, the discussion highlighted the importance of the “S” in ESG and the need to embody values such as equality and inclusion in everyday practice—not just in formal reports.
The event concluded with an informal cocktail reception, offering a chance for women from the entrepreneurial and corporate worlds to connect—because it is often in such encounters that new ideas and collaborations are born.
