On April 9, AmCham Serbia organized a seminar titled Work Permits and Employee Insurance – How to Meet Legal Obligations by May 7?
The seminar focused on current legal obligations in the field of occupational safety and health, with particular emphasis on issuing work permits for high-risk conditions, as well as the obligation to insure employees against workplace injuries and occupational diseases.
Considering that employers must align their operations with the provisions of the law by May 7, the selected topics addressed areas where the most confusion has been observed in practice regarding legal implementation.
Experts from the company Tehpro – Radivoje Rajaković, Jelena Ćirković, and Lazar Lešnjak, led by Milutin Jelić – presented key regulatory requirements and practical aspects of issuing work permits for hazardous conditions (such as working at heights, confined spaces, and high-risk zones).
The lecture also covered the application of Article 67 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Health and the employer’s obligations to insure employees against workplace injuries.
