AmChamps 2.3 is an advanced professional development program that offers young talents in Serbia a unique opportunity to build skills and gain valuable experience by working with successful managers from leading member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Serbia (AmCham). Launched in 2014, the program brings together final-year undergraduate and master’s students and young managers, creating a platform to develop essential business skills through mentoring, educational workshops, and work on real-world business challenges.
AmChamps 2.3 will bring together around 40 selected participants – up to 20 students and up to 20 young managers. Students are in their third or fourth year of undergraduate studies or are pursuing postgraduate studies at public universities in Serbia and are no older than 25. Representatives of AmCham member companies are successful young managers between the ages of 29 and 37.
The Regular Program consists of a series of thematic modules combining knowledge and practical skills through an intensive professional and personal development program. Participants explore areas such as leadership, emotional intelligence, communication and marketing, creative thinking and innovation, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, business strategy, change management, and organizational culture. The program also includes mentoring, coaching, team building, company visits, and internships for students, allowing participants to apply their knowledge in a real-world business environment.
The Final Challenge is the competitive final stage of the program. The three highest-scoring pairs are given a task to address a real-world business challenge from their managers’ companies and develop a concrete project with the support of mentors who are current or former members of AmCham’s Board of Governors. Based on the mentors’ evaluation, the top-performing pair is declared the winner of the program.
The winning manager receives a full scholarship for the Executive MBA program at CITY College, University of York Europe Campus, while the winning student receives a full scholarship for a Master’s degree program. The managers and students finishing in second and third place receive partial scholarships for the respective Executive MBA and Master’s degree programs.
